North Korea’s current Supreme Leader, Kim Jong Un, is the Chairman of the WPK. The guiding ideology of the WPK is the Juche ideology which was developed by Kim Il Sung and is often simplified as ‘self-reliance’, that the people are the masters of their own destiny.
